Question:
PLs help…my car was sitting low, and the ABC light was on, MB replaced the “front thrust arm bushings” and did a ride height calibration. Yesterday, i was parking in my garaje and heard a “pop” and all this fluid gushed out from the front left tire, for about 15 seconds or so…MB says the hydraulic line that feeds the ABC system is ruptured and needs to br replced…the one thing they maintain is that “replced bushing work” has nothing at all to do with what just happened…is that true?..i am told that this replacement will cost about 3,000 dollars…i also just had the fromt and back brakes pads and rotors changed very recently..
Answer:
It’s a burst ABC pressure hose. You would just need to tell them what the dealer is telling you and ask them to quote you on the repair. Chances are they will want to see the car. I have repaired a few of these for this exact problem. I honestly do not think the bushing repair has anything to do with this problem. The $3000 is probably par for the course at a dealership.
